COLLABORATIVE RESEARCH AT THE FOREFRONT
Researchers across disciplines are working together to harness the properties of the quantum domain to make new technologies possible. Our long history of leadership in quantum materials development, quantum sensors and photonic devices will help the region advance some of the grander initiatives and quantum computation platforms already in existence.
Connecticut has been at the forefront of quantum innovation for 20 years, with teams at Yale University working on a new type of computer that could outperform anything currently in use. Robert Schoelkopf, Michel Devoret, and Steven Girvin helped shape the way scientists worldwide approach the emerging field of quantum computing.
With over 70 research faculty, and counting, QuantumCT has a critical mass of expertise pioneering research in quantum and quantum-adjacent areas.
