The QuantumCT Testbed

A PLACE-BASED APPROACH TO INNOVATION AND COLLABORATION

QuantumCT Testbed

Coming Soon

The QuantumCT Testbed will be a specialized experimental environment designed to evaluate and develop quantum technologies, including quantum computing, quantum communication, and quantum sensing systems.

Planned for development in New Haven, this state-of-the-art facility will provide researchers, industry partners, and innovators with the essential infrastructure to test and validate quantum algorithms, qubit architectures, error correction protocols, and other critical components under controlled conditions.

By fostering cross-sector collaboration, the testbed will accelerate the transition from research to real-world applications, driving the commercial adoption of quantum technologies. Development will occur in three phases, strategically addressing both immediate research needs and long-term technology translation.

The ERASE project will establish an NSF Quantum Testbed to develop an innovative quantum computing platform based on dual-resonator ‘erasure flag’ qubits that enhance the error detection and correction required to achieve practical quantum computing.

Researchers will have access to advanced tools for developing new algorithms and improving software systems, as well as the opportunity to experiment with quantum error correction and create new types of quantum algorithms that use mid-circuit measurements and program branching based on the measurement results.

The project aims to build a vibrant national ecosystem for quantum research, paving the way toward achieving quantum advantage in computation and simulation.
